Location

Craobh Haven is situated on the A816 and is about two and a half hours from Glasgow by car, via the A82 and A83 to Lochgilphead, then 17 miles north on the A816.

Railway travellers terminate at Oban which is about 20 miles north of Craobh Haven, and a taxi or other transport can be arranged.

By bus most services terminate at Lochgilphead or Oban and only one daily service extends to Craobh Haven, but taxi or other transport can be arranged.

Craobh Haven's location makes it an ideal touring centre both by car and by boat, as most of the islands such as Mull, Iona, Arran, Colonsay, Islay, Skye, Jura, etc,. are all served by daily sailings of Caledonian McBraynes and other operators.

By car going south to the Mull of Kintyre, north as far as Skye, east to Edinburgh, Perth and even Inverness are all within a comfortable day's drive.

Subject to booking in advance, the steam railway to Mallaig and many other attractions are available, such as sailing on Loch Etive, Loch Lomond or Loch Awe. Various wildlife centres and many more places of interest all lie within easy reach.

Craobh Haven is a small village of some 40 houses and a number of leisure-related businesses all designed and operated for the convenience of holiday visitors.

The centre point of the village is a yacht marina for some 250 yachts and providing all the facilities related to the needs of sailors. A sailing school is based at the marina and provides tuition and facilities for most water sports.
